Last year my MS had deteriorated to a point that it was unsafe for me to drive. Rachel, one of the Society’s cool physios guided me through the application process to apply for a Lottery Board Grant.
It was a slow process but finally my application for car hand controls, wheelchair and a hoist was successful. It felt like I had won Lotto!
After passing the test for hand controls, I could go shopping for a car.
Johnny Feeney, a sales rep from Nigel Thompson Motor Company, provided amazing service, and in no time with the hoist fitted, chair on-board and the all-important hand controls in place, my fabulous car and I were on the road again!
