We are looking for a new Manager

We have an opportunity for an experienced Manager to take the next steps for our organisation as we focus on health and well-being within the Waitaha (Canterbury) communities and in collaboration with other neurological providers.

Our Organisation

The Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Trust is a charity dedicated to providing support, education, and services to people with Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s.  As cases of Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s grow at an increasing rate our aim is to assist people with the condition to manage their health and well-being
We are joint venture partners with Dementia Canterbury and the Canterbury Brain Collective in the establishment of the Braintree Wellness Centre.

The Manager reports to a group of experienced Trustees.

The Role

The Manager is a rewarding and varied leadership role for an experienced and capable manager who will be accountable for implementing the strategic direction and operational requirements of the Trust. Delivering high-quality services while ensuring a positive caring culture is essential to this role.  The Manager will seek opportunities for future growth and development of our services to benefit those with MS & Parkinson’s and their whanau.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role, you will have experience in operational and financial management, proficiencies in community funding, exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, and highly developed engagement skills. You will lead a small and dedicated team while working collaboratively with organisations within the community health sector and Braintree Wellness Centre hub.  An energetic and ‘can do’ approach is key to this role.  In these turbulent times, you must have demonstrable resilience and an ability to cope with, and lead change.

This is a permanent full-time position though lesser hours can be negotiated.
